MOT implements the strengthening women cadres work policy

On the occasion of 102 anniversary of the International Women Day, on March 8th, 2012, Minister Dinh La Thang signed the document number 1579/BGTVT-TCCB directing agencies, units and enterprises under the Ministry Transport to strengthen women cadres work in the current condition.

The document stated: Based on Document No. 758/VPCP-TCCV on February 3rd, 2012 of the Government Office about the opinion of the Government’s Party Affairs Committee and Prime Minister on the work of women cadres, to enhance the female staff of the Ministry of Transport in the current condition, on March 7th, the Party Affairs Committee of the Minisstry of Transport had a meeting and agreed guideline on the work of women cardes.

To implement this policy of the Party Affairs Committee, the Ministry of Transport asks the units coordinating with the same level Party committees to increase attention to the work of women cadres in the staff planning of offices, agencies and enterprises; to review and supplement female comrades who are eligible for planning to train, foster and create sources of women cadres.

Prefer to appoint female personnel in agencies, units and enterprises that don’t have sufficient quantity of deputies as prescribed.

In case of sufficient quantity of leadership personnel as prescribed, if there is any female personnel meeting specific eligibility criteria for appointment, then units should submit to the competent authorities to consider and decide supplementation of female deputy exceeding prescribed number of deputies.
